Who is CAP?
Saginaw Community Alliance for the People is a grassroots advocacy group centered around the Black community in Saginaw, MI, driven by a commitment to enact meaningful policy change and hold local officials accountable to the needs and aspirations of our community. With a focus on policy-driven initiatives, we harness the power of advocacy to champion equitable solutions to pressing local issues. We engage in rigorous research, strategic collaboration, and community mobilization to advocate for policies that promote justice, equity, and opportunity for all residents. Through transparency, accountability, and active participation, we ensure that our elected officials uphold their responsibilities to serve the public interest, fostering a governance system that reflects and responds to the voices of those it represents.
